This blog is for Womb Twin Survivors based in the USA. Womb Twin Survivors started life as a twin/multiple in the womb but their twin/multiple died during pregnancy or near birth. If you live in the USA and are a Womb Twin Survivor (or think you are) then this is the blog for you.

Would you like to participate in a Trauma Research Study?
If you would like to participate in a Trauma Research Study being conducted by Loma Linda University, please visit their website: expressyourself.cancri.net
Your trauma can be twin loss, hurricane related, any kind of event that causes symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress and could benefit from expression through writing.
If you should decide to participate, you would be randomized to one of five different conditions and would be asked to write for 20 minutes a day on 3 consecutive days of your choice about a previous traumatic event. You would also be asked to complete an online questionnaire, which takes approximately 30 minutes to complete before starting to write and after a brief period after completion of your 3 days of writing. Those who complete the study will be eligible to receive up to $15 in gift cards to Amazon.com
Should you have any questions: Jason Owen, Ph.D., the primary investigator can be reached at the research lab at (909) 558 8617 (M-F) or jowen@llu.edu.
Keep us posted on the healing potential of this research initiative everyone!
The more we understand about the effects of trauma and how it manifests, the better off we'll be. Losing one's twin or multiple at birth or before, is in my opinion one of the deepest trauma's one can experience and since it happens in a pre-verbal state, writing may be very conducive to channeling the non-verbal story. Be well!
