Hurricane Sandy Womb Twin Survivors

For womb twin survivors in the wake of Hurricane Sandy it is a very difficult time - as it is for everyone - but our uniqueness can bring a special set of emotions that may trigger our womb trauma. If we are safe and hyper-sensitive to the suffering of those around us it may trigger the alpha/beta struggle of the womb, triggering survivor guilt that we have food and life while our twins/neighbors don't and may be in danger of peril. We may be twin-psychic to the panic of those around us. We may feel helpless that we cannot help them in their quest for survival. All kinds of anxiety and guilt and panic can be coming up. If we are not safe, we may be picking up the panic of imminent danger our twin suffered prior to their demise, trading places with them and sending us into twice as much panic and terror as the real situation warrants. It is important to be aware of these bigger forces at work and try to get centered in the here and now to separate reality from the unresolved feelings from the womb. We must keep our boundaries strong at this time so that our compassion doesn't overwhelm us. If we can channel that into helping/volunteering without putting ourselves in danger, this could be a good solution for all. My home in Brooklyn is safe, dry and has electricity. If any womb twins need shelter they are welcome to contact me for help by calling or texting 347 683 4063. Meanwhile, try to practice the 4 "re's": -Rest -Restore -Remind yourself that it is ok to be the strong survivor or the suffering beta without exagerating the reality of the situation you are currently facing. -Responsibility for your well being is yours, so keep your boundaries strong. And lsatly, know that "this too shall pass"...love and strength to all.
