"Born This Way" - Lady Gaga's performance on The Grammy Awards

Last night's performance of "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga at the Grammy Awards serves as yet another example of how "birth" shapes us. Nice to see an artist-of-influence bring this to the world stage and mass consciousness...more below:

Lady Gaga wore...an egg? Wow. We wondered what Gaga would come up with this year, but we couldn't have imagined this! Lady Gaga arrived on the 2011 Grammys red carpet Sunday night in completely stunning style without ever showing us her dress. Gaga was "incubating", encased in a silver, semi-translucent egg, or "womb", and being carried on a litter or palanquin by four barely-dressed man servants and attended by a female "nurse" as she awaited her birth from the womb that held her.

Lady Gaga, barely visible on the 2011 Grammys red carpet inside her egg-shaped womb, seemed to be wearing the strangest accessory of all this year: an oxygen mask hooked up to a tank inside the "womb" with her! Inside the egg forged of unknown material matter, Gaga also appeared to be wearing a black outfit with exaggerated shoulders and dark sunglasses.

When Gaga's vessel and keepers met up with E's Ryan Seacrest, we could see her peeking out from her "womb". However, Gaga's egg-tourage and style manager informed Seacrest and fans all over the world that we would have to wait until Gaga was "born' to witness her 2011 Grammys spectacle. Stay tuned for updates!
