The Conference: I'll be there in spirit

Like many others, I so long to attend this upcoming New York conference--but central Texas is a long way away, and I am in the midst of launching my latest fiction novel, A WAR OF HER OWN, set during WWII with a protagonist who is a wombtwin survivor herself but doesn't know it. Few people during that time had any knowledge of the syndrome, or its effect on their life. It's existence was just becoming known by the doctor who discovered it. The official release date of the book is set for September 2, 2010.

Twenty-year-old Bea Meade wishes for a good night's sleep. Instead, she spends her nights crying, feeling alone in a half-empty womb, a womb both a graveyard and a birthing chamber. Her most critical need, however, is for her husband to come home with his paycheck so she can pay the rent. Instead, he comes with a tale of unfaithfulness and of a woman pregnant with his child.

A percentage of the authors net proceeds will go toward Wombtwin education. Updates on that will be shared with members of the blogs. With support from other WTS, we can make a difference!

  1. Wow! A story featuring a womb twin survivor - this goes a long way toward bridging mainstream culture and the loneliness womb twin survivors feel. We will look for it with great interest...thanks for sharing!
